A Thought For the Day

I’m tired of all the talk about diversity, inclusion and the concept that everyone gets a trophy. I’m tired of people being hired, nominated and awarded for things that they didn’t deserve, just to satisfy a quota of racial equality. I’m tired of guns being blamed for everything from colds to cholerrea. I’m tired of people being divided over race, sexual orientation or political affiliation. I’m tired of white privledge and affirmative action. And I’m really tired of certain groups of people thinking they are better than others because they were once or are now currently being oppressed.

And most of all, I’m sick of being told something is wrong with me because I don’t agree with what the world thinks is their version of “right”. It’s not right, it’s politically correct. Grow a thick skin. Opinions are opinions and feelings are feelings. We all have them and we all have a right to express them. If you are so offended by words that are not directed at you personally by name, then you seriously need to reevaluate your life. You don’t need a safe space, you need to grow up!

This is getting old, let’s move on. Blessings!

A Quick Note of Apology

I apologize for the last post (of course it’s gone now lol), but a friend was creating her own blog and ended up using my site credentials to post. She has removed it and will be posting it to her own blog. She might be a contributor here in the future, but I’m helping her set up her own space first.
Thanks for understanding!

Happy Mother’s Day

I would love to wish all the women out there a very Happy Mother’s Day. I was blessed with a great Mom who is still with me. We get along like close friends, even if we sometimes get on each other’s nerves. 🙂 However, I know friends and family who are struggling because today is particularly difficult. Their mothers have passed on. To them, I would love to say how much I’m praying for all of you and I hope that even through your sadness that you can remember the good times and know that you will be able to see them again, someday.
So, no matter who or what you mother – children, grandchildren, adopted children, step-children, dogs, cats, birds, etc. – I celebrate and appreciate you.
Have a wonderful day!
